Freezing Rain & Jewellery

It seems like this year, spring does not want to arrive for good - even though everyone around is so tired of cold and cloudy weather. But maybe this is actually how it supposed to be? After all the month of April sometimes mixes a little bit of summer and winter together. So today instead of glare of the sun we have freezing rain... And guess what - it is simply beautiful!

These small pieces of jewellery on the trees are not just drops of water but tiny gems of ice.

When I took pictures of them, I could hear gentle "click-clack" noise they made by blowing wind.

This reminded me of some recently purchased items which I am planning to place in our garden. I call them "garden's jewellery." Hopefully they will help me to create that charming atmosphere with touch of some magical feeling that I wish to have in our outdoor space.

So what do we have here?
Some limestone decorative tiles:

This fairy armchair:

And this exquisite butterfly:

I will show you how I use all those pieces in future posts. But the truth is - no matter how I will arrange them around the garden - the magic is already here:

Little bit of everything...

Easter decorating:

Egg painting:

(egg painted by Alexander)

Egg blessing:

...and Easter egg hunting:

Arrival of a new "family member" - new sheep joined my son's sheep collection. Isn't she cute? I just had to publish a picture of her!

As you can see on the picture below - Max  (one of our twins) really loves cuddly sheep...

The Earth Day

And again -  crazy and busy time is behind us. Here is a short update.

Celebrating The Earth Day:

It was very romantic atmosphere but first of all a lot of fun!

Dresser Makeover

This time I would like to share with you the way I have changed a regular, boring dresser into something more suitable for my kids room.

Here is the dresser before:

And here is the same dresser after:

Towel Hanger Idea

Sometimes with very little effort we can create a huge impact.

This ugly towel hanger cost me only $3:

Definitely I am not a big fan of pigs in a bathroom :) so I decided to repaint it.

And now it looks like this:

Decorative Pillows

This time I just wanted to show you how to transform regular pillow cases into something more interesting and maybe more suitable for this particular living room.

Pillows before:

I made a mixture of some white fabric paint and pale blue acrylic paint:

Then using stencil I painted pattern on the surface of fabric:

The final effect:
